At least three reasons:

1. For years we helped write remarks for just our family and friends. It became clear that we could use our skills to help those outside of our tiny circles.
   

2. As the years pass, fewer and fewer couples choose to be married by clergy. Instead, engaged couples often give that honor to a beloved, but inexperienced, loved one. That’s where we can help.
   

3. Years ago, Eli spent a few months doing software work in a faraway city, alone. The day after the project wrapped, exhausted and in an unfamiliar airport, finally on his way home, a friend called him in a panic. She had to deliver a maid-of-honor speech the next day, and she didn’t know where to begin. From the airport, he guided her through the process. As they hung up, final draft solidified, Eli realized that he was so overwhelmed with gratitude that he was near tears. He still feels that way about helping people craft speeches, but he usually keeps the feeling to himself.
